Opened in October 2024 and sister restaurant to the multi-award-winning Trenchers, Tide by Trenchers is located beneath Seashore Apartments.
Serving high-quality seafood and meat dishes in a relaxed, casual setting, stand out dishes include Salt & Pepper Squid in Chilli, Hake Fillet Pan Seared & Roasted with Mussels, Thai Vegetable Red Curry, and, of course, Trenchers Fish & Chips.

Craving a luxury meal in the comfort of your apartment? Our private Tide to Go service is exclusively available to guests of Seashore Apartments. Simply call or pop into Tide by Trenchers during opening hours to place your order, and enjoy freshly prepared dishes in your apartment.

Established in 1980, Trenchers of Whitby has cemented itself as a must-visit destination in the North of England thanks to its traditional menu of fish and chips, seafood and British dishes, served all day, everyday, throughout the year.
Trenchers New Quay Road fry using the traditional method of beef dripping to ensure the best possible product for customers. With options including seafood salads, crab, lobster, fresh fish, homemade pies and lasagnes, Whitby scampi, vegetarian options and a dedicated children’s menu, there truly is something for everyone.
While we love a good celebration, our cosy accommodation is best suited for peaceful stays. For that reason, hen and stag dos (no matter how low-key) aren’t permitted. Thanks for your understanding
We like our guests with four legs too – bring up to two dogs!
Unfortunately, as the apartments are located on the first floor and can only be accessed via a stair case, they are not suitable for anyone in a wheelchair.
